Yes - the same Brisbane that is currently going under water.
The suburb we're in is not under threat and we are fine. We are safe, but the devestation around us is horrific. Brisbane is in a declared state of emergency. Thousands of people have been evacuated and lost their homes; people have also lost their lives. The river has not yet peaked, and there is a possibility of the dam collapsing. We've never seen anything like it.
Miriam and i hope and wish for you all that you are safe and that you have an uneventful return trip to Vancouver and that your parents Anna and grandma do not have any damage to their home in Brisbane . Enjoy some quality time together and it must be Emmas first visit to Australia and it will be a wonderful experience for her to see some Ausie animals etc.

Thinking of you three. My brother is also in Brisbane and thankfully also ok. This will certainly be an adventure and quite a memory too! Bet all your friends at daycare are missing you too! I've been by a few times to see everyone, I certainly have missed my favourite little red head!
